Before beginning the quest, your character's interactions with Aldos are limited. If you attempt to speak to him, he'll question who you are, what time it is, and sound like a staggering drunk. Although an interesting event will ensue in you stand next to Aldos while he is standing around. He will began to sing the "Cliff Racer Song"

About one-third of the way into the quest Corruption and Conscience, you learn about Aldos getting his house taken from him, and being tossed out into the streets. You are required to speak to him and ask him to be a witness to the testimony to the Count of Captian Ulrich's tyranny. Upon talking to Aldos, he becomes infuriated and enraged and beckons you to follow him while he shows the guards what he's made of. Following Aldos reveals a conversation involving Aldos bantering wild words at the guard, whom accuses Aldos of threatening him. Before long Aldos pulls his knife on the guard and is sadly slaughtered.
