Bestiary
From the OblivioWiki – your guide to everything Oblivion
Myriad creatures roam the lands of Cyrodiil, from the mountains of the icy north to the rolling plains and dense forests of the heartlands. The purpose of this article is to index the primary varieties of (often hostile) creatures, though there are many sub-types.
In general, most creatures' levels are constant, unaffected by your character's level. For example, if you see a Clannfear (whether summoned or natural), you know immediately that it is level 11, has 180 health points, and has innate Reflect Damage and Fire Resistance abilities. This is constant no matter when you encounter the Clannfear, whether you "lock horns" at level 9 or level 29.
However, to create a consistent challenge, certain creatures actually are "leveled," increasing in level as your character gains experience (measured in levels) in the game world. The following pages list creatures according to their creature types and levels.
For more information on other humanoid characters in the game world, please consult this Wiki's article on NPCs.
Note: This guide does not take into consideration the vast collections of new creatures added by user-created content mods, such as Francesco's Leveled Items / Creatures Mod or Martigen's Monster Mod. If you are currently using a mod that edits creatures or other game content, the following lists may not necessarily apply to your "version" of the game.
