The inn is a small building with two small rooms upstairs. The inn has a trap door, however, that leads to Inn of Ill Omen Private Quarters making it more spacious. Manheim Maulhand runs the Inn and sells some food and drink, and rents rooms for 10 gold per night.
Important plant-life is limited to three Steel-Blue Entoloma by the front door and three Foxglove near the tree in front of the inn.
Near the Inn, a random Oblivion Gate may be found.

Quests that involve The Inn of Ill Omen:
- A Knife in the Dark - Lucien Lachance charges you with killing Rufio to show your commitment to the Dark Brotherhood.
- You later summon Rufio's ghost when commiting The Purification quest.
