Imperial Legion

Imperial Watch in Imperial City.
Patrolling the lands

The Imperial Legion is the military force of the Empire. They also act as the Imperial Watch, guards in Imperial cities and outposts. They are the best fighting force in the land and have strong soldiers and powerful battlemages. Unlike The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the legion is not a joinable faction.

The Imperial Legion is incredibly vigilant and, like all city watch members, they are ten levels higher than your character at all times. As well as being posted all over the Imperial City, they can be found patrolling roads all over Cyrodiil atop Imperial Legion Horses. At one point the Legion burned Hackdirt to the ground, why they did it is unknown. The forts that are inhabited by goblins and vampires and various other beasts were formerly used by the Imperial Legion, the reason they have been since destroyed is unknown. The armory of the Imperial Legion is located in the prison area of the Imperial City, and the lock on the door can be picked.

[edit] Imperial Guard Captains

Imperial Guard Captains can be seen patrolling the various districts of the Imperial City. They wear armor similar to the Imperial Dragon Armor, except they have a gold trim. The captains usually wield Silver, two-handed weapons. Most of them cannot be killed, only knocked unconscious. The Guard Captains are enemies of two of the main factions, the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild. One of the main goals of these guilds is to get these captains off of their backs.

[edit] Imperial Legion Forester

An Imperial Legion Forester

Imperial Legion Foresters can be found roaming the woodlands and forests in Cyrodiil. They usually don legion greaves, along with a silver bow and arrows. Foresters mostly roam around the forests hunting for deer and, for this very reason, are excellent marksmen. If you stumble upon a row of strangely deceased deer while roaming the world, a forester is likely nearby. It has been noted that before the patch, if a Forester kills a deer in view of another Forester, they will attack each other. They will sometimes enter Inns, and can be seen practicing on targets set up outside an Inn. Foresters are similar to the horse-mounted Imperial Legion Guard you see patrolling around, but they do not wear a full suit of armor. Dead Foresters are often found near Oblivion Gates and have a nasty habit of appearing when you've broken a law outside of Bruma.

[edit] Forester Locations

Although foresters are difficult to track, there are a few places they can be found.
