The Mystic Archives are a repository of knowledge for the Mages Guild. You may consult Tar-Meena here in the Main Quest segment The Path of Dawn. Boderi Farano is a medium-level Mysticism trainer with a role in the master trainer quest Mysticism Training.

You'll find the book Necromancer's Moon here in the Mages Guild quest Vaermina. Another find is the Modern Heretics book, which gives you two topics that provide the locations of Daedric Shrines. The Cleansing of the Fane provides you with the location of the Ayleid Ruin Malada in the Miscellaneous quest, Nothing You Can Possess.
