[edit] Featured Article of the Week and Collaboration of the Week (8/16/06)
We are considering implementing two new items to be placed on the Main Page: a Featured Article (FA) of the Week and a Collaboration of the Week (CotW).
- The Featured Article will highlight articles of good quality and on par with the style and formatting of the site. A star
at the top right corner of the page will indicate this.
- The Collaboration of the Week (quoted from Patito at the Google Group): "could have its goal be to for that one week flesh out that article's text as much as possible in that week (and beyond, of course, but it just won't be on the main page after that). To flesh out the text, to make all red links on the page blue and to make sure that the page is linked to, and add pictures, etc."
All registered contributors have the right to vote for the FA and Collaboration. If you would like to nominate an article for FA or CotW status, start a new heading on this page, with the article's name and provide a brief explanation as to why you nominated it. Be sure to sign your nomination with four tildes (~~~~) as well.
After nomination, contributors can vote to support or oppose it, with or without comments. Also, any suggestions, improvements, or other ways we could implement these things are welcome, as these are still new features. --theSpectator 15:35, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
