The people of the Wrothgarian and Dragontail Mountains, Orcish armorers are prized for their craftsmanship. Orc troops in heavy armor are among the finest in the Empire, and are fearsome when using their berserker rage.

The Orsimer, commonly known as Orcs are the sophisticated barbarian beast peoples of the Wrothgarian and Dragontail Mountains. They are noted for their unshakeable courage in war and their unflinching endurance of hardships. In the past, Orcs have been widely feared and hated by the other nations and races of Tamriel, but they have slowly won acceptance in the Empire, in particular for their distinguished service in the Imperial Legion. Orcish armorers are prized for their craftsmanship, and Orc warriors in heavy armor are among the finest front-line troops in the Empire and fearsome when using their Berserker Rage. Most Imperial citizens regard Orc society as rough and cruel, but there is much to admire in their fierce tribal loyalties and generous equality of rank and respect among the sexes. In the middle of the Merethic Era, the Orsimer and their leader Trinimac tried to halt the movement of Prophet Velothi and the Dark Elves. The Daedric Prince Boethiah ate Trinimac, corrupting his body and spirit and he emerged as Daedric Prince Malacath. All of the Orsimer people were also changed into what they are now known as, the Orcs.

Orcs have great skill bonuses for a fighter. Orcs usually carry large two handed Blunt Weapons and use them to cause their opponents to stagger from every hit. It is a good idea to use a two handed weapon when going Berserk because all it takes is one hit for you to get knocked down because of your lowered agility. Two handed weapons' reach helps you keep your distance from opponents' shorter weapons. Also two handed weapons are more likely to cause your opponent to stagger which keeps them from being able to counterattack. A slight resistance to magicka helps the Orc against spellcasters.

This is the birthsign of choice for Orcs. It helps boost your Strength and Endurance for maximum starting fatigue and health.

Orcs don't get any skill bonuses for Alchemy or Restoration. Choose The Lord if you don't think you have room to bother with Restoration or Alchemy as a major skill.

[edit] Berserk

This power is fantastic for defeating bosses. Be careful not to get hit though, because getting hit will cause you to fall down due to your lowered agility.

[edit] Drawbacks

  • Getting hit while in Berserk mode can get you killed.
  • Orcs have no way to see through dark dungeons.
    • Choosing Illusion as a Major Skill, carrying a torch, or getting a night-eye enchantment fixes this problem.
