Poisoned Apple
From the OblivioWiki – your guide to everything Oblivion
A Poisoned Apple is an alchemical ingredient. Even though being a poisonous fruit, it cannot be made into a poison. Instead, it will become a potion. This is because the effect is a "script effect" that the developers chose not to make "hostile," likely because doing so would severely unbalance the game. However, mods exist that counteract this.
[edit] Properties
Value: 300
Weight: 0
Location: Inside Bravil Wizard's Tower grotto, or purchased from the Dark Brotherhood Merchant. 10 can also be found inside a barrel with a Very Hard lock in Fort Farragut before the trap door, after an extended period of time, these will reappear, providing a continuous source of the apples.
[edit] Uses
- This apple can kill anything, simply remove all the food in a target NPC's house and leave the apple. They should eat it and keel over.
- Doing this will not count as a murder by the guards or the Dark Brotherhood, and it will not raise the player's kill tally on the game menu.
- If the player eats it, he/she will die.
- Because it is a script effect, it bypasses poison resistance.
