Split is a town in the
Realm of Sheogorath. It is located north of the
Hill of Suicides and south of
Overlook Road. A very interesting town, for each person on one side of Split, there is a duplicate of him or her. This is the result of a mage's experimentation on the town dividing each person into a
Mania double and a
Dementia double. The doubles share the same name but the opposite temperament.
There is a quest called The Great Divide that the player can accept from the either the Manic or Demented leader to kill off all the opposite doubles. Doing so nets you a leveled gold reward.
Note: It seems that there is no way to do the quest without killing either the Mania or Dementia sides. Also the mysterious mage seems to be nowhere to be found.
