[edit] Overview
Faction: Fighters Guild
Prerequisites: Trolls of Forsaken Mine
Next Quests: Mystery at Harlun's Watch
Quest giver: Burz gro-Khash in the Cheydinhal Fighters Guild
Reward: Gold (see link), Rugdumph's Sword, one point fame
[edit] Background Information
Burz gro-Khash wants you to help an old family friend of his, Lord Rugdumph gro-Shurgak, at Lord Rugdumph's Estate near Lake Arrius. Head there and talk to Lord Rugdumph. Apparently, his daughter, Lady Rogbut gra-Shurgak, has gone missing and you must find her.
[edit] Walkthrough
After discussing the situation with Lord Rugdumph, head outside towards the east. When you get there you will have to fight three Ogres. Defeat them as you wish. If you want to avoid being overwhelmed by the three, you can run backwards while either shooting arrows or spell-casting if you are proficient in either. Another good strategy is to lure the Ogres back towards Lord Rugdumph's Estate, more specifically to the servant's quarters building. There is a low wall with a wooden gate directly to the west of it. Jump over the fence to the left of the gate. The Ogres will attempt to open the gate and follow you in, however, since they are too big to fit through the opening, they'll fail to reach you. Move toward them, attack, back pedal, repeat. This is the easiest and safest way to kill them as a melee class.
After you defeat two of the Ogres, the noble's daughter, Lady Rogbut gra-Shurgak, will show up; keep her alive and kill the last Ogre. Then head back to the house to receive your reward from Lord Rugdumph (Rugdumph's Sword), and return to gro-Khash in Cheydinhal to complete the quest for gold.
[edit] Journal Entries
Upon receiving the quest:
- Burz gro-Khash has given me a contract to help Lord Rugdumph gro-Shurgak find his daughter, Lady Rogbut gra-Shurgak. I can find Lord Rugdumph at this estate near Lake Arrius.
After you have spoken to Lord Rugdumph:
- Lord Rugdumph tells me that his daughter was out picking rocks, and he fears she may have been taken away by a band of ogres that are known to live east of the estate. I am to find and return her.
When you've killed the ogres:
- I have killed the ogres who kidnapped Lady Rogbut. I should now escort her back to her father's estate.
After leading Lady Rogbut safely back home:
- I have escorted Lady Rogbut back to her father's estate, much to Lord Rugdumph's relief. He has rewarded me with Rugdumph's Sword. I should now return to Burz gro-Khash for payment of the contract.
After returning to Burz gro-Khash:
- Burz gro-Khash was pleased with my efforts in retrieving Lady Rogbut gra-Shurgak, and he paid me what was owed on the contract.
