Ungolim is the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood. In the quest A Kiss Before Dying you must eliminate him, only because you were betrayed by another member of the Dark Brotherhood. But after news of his death, you will be promoted to the new listener as the Night Mother knew what was happening.
